Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku will reportedly have to take a pay cut on his salary for him to join Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan this summer according to widespread reports emanating from the Italian media.

The Belgian international is expected to become a top transfer target for Nerazzurri when former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is confirmed as the new Inter Milan boss.

Conte will soon be confirmed as the replacement for Luciano Spalletti at Inter Milan and the Italian tactician has requested for the signing of former Chelsea striker Lukaku.

According to the specific publication from popular Italian transfer news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku will have to take a pay cut on his £250,000 per week salary for him to sign for Inter Milan.

Apart from his wages, Inter Milan will have to agree on a deal with Manchester United for his transfer.

Recent reports claimed that Inter Milan have made an offer of €30m plus long-term Manchester United target Ivan Perisic for Lukaku but the Red Devils are holding out for €70m.

Romelu Lukaku has spent just two seasons at Manchester United following his £75m transfer from fellow Premier League club Everton in the summer of 2017.
