Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard was in sensational form after he lifted his team to third position on the Premier League with a solo performance in the 2-0 London Derby win over West Ham United at home.

The Blues needed to win their home game against the Hammers and it was star player Hazard who stepped up to give Chelsea the victory against West Ham United.

Chelsea dominated proceedings in the first half and they were rightly rewarded with a very good goal when Hazard danced his way past almost half of the entire West Ham United team to give the hosts a 24th minute lead.

It was a well deserved lead for Chelsea at the halftime interval but their opponents were much better in the opening exchanges of the second half with the likes of Aaron Cresswell and Marko Arnautovic going close for the Hammers but the West Londoners were able to repel the little attacking threat from West Ham United.

Hazard wrapped up the 2-0 win for Chelsea on the stroke of full-time off an assist from substitute Ross Barkley who did well in his cameo appearance off the bench.

The Hazard-inspired win takes Chelsea (66 points) above the North London duo of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur (63 points) and into third spot as the race for Champions League football hots up.
