Dominic Solanke

It’s all but certain that Liverpool unused striker Dominic Solanke is set to leave Anfield in January after failing to make an appearance for the team in the first half of the season.

The 21-year-old striker isn’t rated by Jurgen Klopp and reports suggest the German boss is set to send him on loan till the end of the current campaign.

HIS NEXT DESTINATION

CRYSTAL PALACE

According to Sky Sports in one of their transfer speculations during the week, Crystal place manager Roy Hodgson is aiming for the player’s signature.

The Former England’s national team coach is not unhappy with his team’s current form as they occupy the fourth position.

Wilfred Zaha is doing fine with the Selhurst Park outfits but his individual brilliance isn’t enough to win many matches for the team.

In this regard, Hodgson has contacted Liverpool to know if the player is available for sale in January.

SCOTTISH SIDE RANGERS SHOW INTEREST

Stephen Gerrard has made his desire to get the player known to his former club. The former Liverpool player isn’t doing badly with his team in the Scottish League but he wants to reinforce the attacking prowess of his team.

It is yet to be seen if the Reds would love to release the former Chelsea striker to Rangers, having seen how one of their youngsters Ovie Ejaria was treated by the former England captain.

The decision is Solanke’s to make as he will decide where he would love to go between the two clubs.

A move to Crystal Palace will see him compete with Wilfred Zaha, Christian Benteke and Jordan Ayew for a place in Hodgson’s starting lineup.

The three aforementioned forwards — except the Ivorian player —have failed to impress so far this season and it will be very easy for the 21-year-old to displace one of them.

Solanke will be in direct competition with Benteke for the Eagles centre-forward position and he stands a  greater chance to win the battle.

Should he decide to join Rangers, he will be given the privilege to play regular first-team football for the first time in many months.

Although he will needs to labour hard to get regular action under his compatriot.this is because Rangers top scorer Alfredo Morelos is in rich goalscoring form.

He could fail to displace the Colombian from Gerrard’s first XI but he will battle Finland’s Serge Atakayi for a place in the team.

Atakayi hasn’t been too superb for the team, hence, Solanke possesses all it takes to displace the Finnish striker
