Not Lukaku – Chelsea Set To Sign This Striker With £35M To Replace Costa

Chelsea have been quite impressive this season so far, and the Stamford Bridge club are presently firm favourites to win the title this current campaign.

There are lots of factors that contributes to Chelsea’s impressive performances. One of it is that the club invested in classic players like N’Golo Kante in the last summer transfer window to strengthen the team. And another thing is that Antonio Conte has strong strikers like Diego Costa who are injury free.

Many Chelsea supporters are in love with Costa, but it seems he is going to leave eventually. And so, it is common sense that the Italian boss should be looking to buy another classic striker that can be as effective as Costa was in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Even though Everton star striker Lukaku has been linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge club, The Sun recently reported that Chelsea are ready to replace Diego Costa with Alvaro Morata.

24-year-old Alvaro Morata has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season so far. The Spain international also has 18 international caps for his country.

The Sun indicates that Conte has already made the decision to sell Costa ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, after he was the subject of a world-record offer from China back then in the January transfer window.

It was also added that Morata could cost the west London club around 35 million pounds this summer.

Alvaro Morata, in all 85 appearances for Real Madrid during his two spells with the La Liga giants, has scored 24 times, and he might be a perfect replacement for his fellow countryman Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.
