Liverpool target Maxwell Cornet as a replacement for Daniel Sturridge

As we know it Liverpool are being linked with a move for striker at Lyon, but this time it is not Alexandre Lacazette.

According to report from Calcio Mercato, the Italian outlet says scouts from Liverpool have been monitoring 20-year-old French striker Maxwell Cornet.

The 20-year-old French striker has scored seven goals in 33 league games this season, and calcio mercato claims that Jurgen Klopp is seriously monitoring the startlet situation as a possible replacement for unfit Daniel Sturridge.

For a 20-year-old to have played 93 ligue 1 games, scoring 19 goals is a good reason for Jurgen Klopp to be eager to sign him.

In another news Liverpool are said to be leading the chase to get Ryan Sessegnon from the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to the Sun, the 16-year-old is being scouted by top Europe teams but the Reds are most likely to sign him.

Fulham FC are said to be in chase to get the 16-year-old back on loan next season if they will agree to sell him in summer.

Sessegnon just 16-year-old has been very instrumental for Cottagers this season.
