Liverpool were said to have reached an agreement with the Frenchman during the previous transfer window, but things didn’t go on has planned for both parties as Jurgen Klopp surprisingly pulled out of the deal.

However, the playmaker has reportedly moved on from the disappointment as he continues to put up great display for Lyon in Ligue 1 this season.

It was revealed that Jurgen Klopp terminated his desire to work with the Frenchman due to the player’s alarming injury records. He later turned his attention to former Stoke City’s versatile player Xherdan Shaqiri whom he successfully signed for just £13m.

Contrary to Klopp’s claims, Fekir has been in top form and good physical condition all through the campaign and Chelsea are now linked with his signature.

Having seen how fit Fekir has been with Lyon, Maurizio Sarri is reportedly pondering on whether to make move for the Frenchman before the end of the month.

The Italian manager criticized his players for lack of motivation after their disappointing defeat to Arsenal last weekend, hence, he could move for the player as a way to motivate his team for the rest of the season.

It is said that the Blues will need to release nothing less than £50m if they are to prise Fekir out of his home country in January.

Meanwhile, every report linking the Blues with Fekir’s services still remain mere speculation because there are no official statements from Sarri nor his employers backing up the widespread claims.
