Mourinho gets a call from legendary player after Arsenal draw

After Giroud heart breaking late equaliser, Manchester United boss was completely deflated.

Olivier Giroud who came off from the bench to secure Arsenal a point in the 89th minute, canceling Juan Mata’s early goal, in a match which had looked to be a game-winner for Manchester United.

Certainly, United players fonbled in front of goal, but Mourinho insisted they should not feel bad about their overall display.

The Man United boss told MUTV. “They feel like it is a defeat and they are very disappointed.
“But I told them, the worse feeling is when you are upset with yourself because you didn’t perform or you made big mistakes, but they cannot have that feeling.

Mourinho later received a call from legendary player Maradona to lift his spirits.

“after a great performance but a bad result i had a phone call from king diego..gracias amigo.with you,with my family,with other friends,with my players and with utd amazing supporters…monday i will be ready again”

Manchester United are six in the table, eight point adrift Liverpool and Manchester City.

United will face Feyenoord in the Europa League before hosting West Ham at Old Trafford
