Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has thrown his weight behind a possible Real Madrid transfer for Blues talisman Eden Hazard.

Mourinho spoke about the Belgian international attacker in an interview with media outlet DAZN on Sunday.

According to him, Eden Hazard has the quality to play for European champions Real Madrid.

Mourinho also said that Hazard is an ambitious player and that the move to Real Madrid will be good for him.

Eden Hazard played for Jose Mourinho in his second spell as the Chelsea manager between 2013 and 2015.

The 28-year-old was the star player as Chelsea won the Premier League title during the 2014/15 season.

Eden Hazard was rewarded with the PFA Player of the Year Award at the end of that season.

He has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea for the better part of the last one year dating back to when Real Madrid sold former talisman Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in a club-record deal worth €100m.

Real Madrid are him as a potential candidate to replace the magnificent Ronaldo who has already scored 20 goals for Juventus in all competitions in his debut season at the club.

Eden Hazard has less than 18 months remaining on his Chelsea deal at the moment.
