Kylian Mbappe

As summer approaches, the name ‘Kylian Mbappe’ is already on the lips of many as it is obvious already that he will be in demand due to his talent. However, Monaco’s sporting director Antonio Cordon has stated recently that the club will not be forced to sell Kylian Mbappe this summer

Some times back, it was reported that while other top clubs in Europe like Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea have been linked with a move, Manchester United on their part have launched a £96 million offer for the young teenager.

This season so far, the 18-year-old  has been in superb form for the Ligue I club and in 32 appearances, has scored 19 goals. Recently, he has earned a call up to France’s senior squad for the first time in his career.

He is expected to leave Monaco at the end of the season, but Monaco stated that they are not in a position where they need to sell.

Cordon told AS that considering the figures being thrown at him, Mbappe is a great player despite being young.

The Sporting Director added that he always tell Mbappe that his growth is due to his colleagues and the technicians he has there at the club, insisting that Monaco has the capacity to keep him since there is no economic problem whatsoever.

Cordon also stated that not every player for whom an offer arrives has to be sold by the club, and they do not intend selling Mbappe despite clubs from across Europe been interested in him.

Also speaking about the young Frenchman as a person, Cordon added that Mbappe is a very quiet,  humble and hardworking boy
