Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu is certain that former teammate Sadio Mane is ready for a big move to outgoing European champions Real Madrid.
Romeu played with Sadio Mane at Southampton before the Senegalese international star joined the Reds in the summer of 2016 for a fee believed to be around £34m.
The former Barcelona player spoke about Mane in a chat with trusted Spanish newspaper Marca as he revealed that the Liverpool forward has the required quality to thrive at Real Madrid.
Oriol Romeu knows all about the quality needed to play for a big club like Real Madrid due to his affiliations with arch-rivals Barcelona.
Sadio Mane has emerged as the top transfer target for Real Madrid ahead of this summer’s transfer window if reports emanating from Spain are anything to go by.
It was revealed that Mane has replaced Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe as the top target for the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid will rebuild their squad this summer after a disastrous season which has seen them drop out of all the three competitions namely the Champions League, Spanish La Liga and the Spanish Copa Del Rey.
The Los Merengues have already lured club legend Zinedine Zidane back to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for his second spell.
