Reports from Old Trafford has it that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has given Mourinho £200million to spend in an effort to create a squad capable of taking the club back to the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils are monitoring both Griezmann and Gameiro ahead of possible summer moves.

Griezmann starred for Atletico last season, scoring 32 goals for the Spanish club and helping them to the Champions League final.

The France international’s agent, Eric Olhats, has suggested the midfielder is considering a move this summer.

However, the transfer could be dependent on whether or not Diego Simeone, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, remains at Atletico next season.
