Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United have been tipped to complete a summer move for AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe despite interest from Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old has been an impressive figure for the Ligue 1 side this season, churning out brilliant goalscoring abilities that has pitched him as one of the best youngsters in Europe.

Mbappe who has scored 26 goals and 14 assists across all competitions this season, has been a subject of interest from a host of clubs in Europe, with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United believed to have serious offers to sign the teenager.

United legend, Phil Neville has urged his former side to move ahead of their rivals and seal a sensational deal for the striker, highlighting the player’s impressive skills as a reason for Jose Mourinho to sign him.

“I think United are probably one of the only ones who can afford to pay for him, you are talking maybe £100m,” Neville told talkSPORT.

“I have watched him twice, against Tottenham and against Man City, and I have never seen pace like it.

“He will be bought, but rumour has it he will be staying in Monaco for one more season.

There are strong speculation that Real Madrid have had an enormous bid rejected for Mbappe, and will return with more money later this summer, but United are viewed as a likely contender due to the huge transfer warchest.
