Marco Verratti

Manchester United have agreed a deal to buy Paris Saint Germain midfielder, Marco Verratti next summer, according to reports in Gazzette dello Sport.

The Italian midfielder has been linked with a move away from Parc Des Princes with reports that Chelsea are eyeing a January move for him but backed after some initial failed attempts.

Paris Saint Germaine has made two vital signings in the January transfer window which suggests there could be movement in the current squad in the summer which United wants to capitalise on.

Veratti was regarded as one of the best midfielders in Europe when he joined the French Champions from Pescara in 2012, winning four Ligue 1 titles but has come under criticisms for his displays which has casted a shadow on his future.

PSG is currently struggling in the Ligue 1 under new boss Unai Emery and are looking to bolster their squad despite the arrival of Julian Draxler and Goncalo Geudes.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is said to be an avid admirer of the midfielder but could be beaten to his signature by the Red Devils who are also looking for replacement after the departure of Morgan Schneiderlin while Michael Carrick is also expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
