Kasper Schmeichel

Manchester United are confident of signing Leicester City goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel as the club lowers asking price, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with a  few names in the goalkeeping position in the transfer market with speculations over the future of current number David De Gea who looks likely to join Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Although, there are suggestions that De Gea might change his mind about leaving the Old Trafford this summer, coupled with United’s reluctance to do business with Real Madrid after they dragged the transfer deal for Alvaro Morata.

But there are reports that the Champions League holders are returned with a huge offer for the Spaniard and are ready to force United’s hands with an improved offer for De Gea.

Kasper Schmeichel who is also a key figure for the Foxes since their time in the lower league till the won the Premier League against all odds, has also been tipped to walk in the footsteps of his father by moving to the Old Trafford.

Reports in the Daily Mirror have it that Leicester who were asking for an astronomical fee for the keeper, have now lowered their demands and are already weighing up a bid for his replacement.

It is believed that Manchester United will demand a record deal from Real Madrid for David De Gea and use part of the cash to fund an audacious move for Schmeichel’s move to the Old Trafford.
