Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the pursuit of Celtic youngster, Kieran Tierney, according to reports.

The Red Devils were present at England’s 2-2 draw with Scotland that saw Tierney feature for the Scots.

Arsenal have been initially credited with an interest in the youngster, with reports that they will move for him this summer but they will have to beat United to his signature.

The 20-year-old has been an impressive figure for the Hoops and is regarded as one of the best youngsters in Europe.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been active in the market so far bringing in Victor Lindelof from Benfica and it appears he will continue to bolster his defensive ranks with moves for more defenders.

The Portuguese is said to be frustrated with the performances of Luke Shaw and even criticised his performances and attitude publicly during the last campaign.

Arsene Wenger is believed to be tracking the progress of Tierney since last summer and wants to add him to his current squad despite signing Sead Kolasinac who plays at the same left-back position.

Manchester United is also keen to add a young left-back this summer with reports that the likes of Matteo Darmian might also follow Shaw out of the club later this summer.
