Andrea Belotti

Manchester United have not made an official bid for Torino forward, Andrea Belotti according to club president, Urbano Cairo.

The Red Devils have been lately linked with a summer move for the 23-year-old, who has proved himself a reliable goalscorer in Italy and he is valued at £88million by Torino.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Belotti this summer but they are reluctant to meet his release clause.

Although, there are reports that United are leading the race to sign the striker this summer and have even met with the club about the prospects of signing him.

But the club president, Cairo has claimed that there have been no contact from any of the clubs,

‘I’ve not had any contact from anyone,’ Cairo told Sky Sports Italia. ‘Not from PSG, Manchester United or AC Milan.

‘He’s under contract until 2021 and that means he has to stick with us.

‘Wecare about Belotti and we are keeping hold of him.

‘He has a contract with Torino until 2021. I would only sell him for €100m (£88m), but even then he can refuse.

Jose Mourinho is believed to have shifted sights and now wants to sign Real Madrid forward, Alvaro Morata who is keen about making the switch after speaking with the United boss.
