Liverpool Set To Rival La Liga Clubs For 23-year-old No.22 Forward

Liverpool will have to rival Valencia for the signature of Paris Saint Germaine winger Jese Rodriguez.

The former Real Madrid star who joined PSG in a €25million deal in the summer but has not had the best of time in Paris, failing to secure a regular spot under Unai Emery this season.

There are reports that a host of top European teams are interested in signing the 23-year-old winger and Liverpool are believed to be considering Jese as an option as Jurgen Klopp tried to strengthen his squad going into the second half of the season.

Reports in Spanish publication Plazadeportiva also have it Las Palmas are also preparing a move for the winger but admits his wage bill could be a problem.

Las Palmas president Angel Ramirez told Las Provincia: ‘Jese Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level – and that is very high,’

‘Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jese and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford that salary.

‘With respect to other clubs, we are at a disadvantage and hence we have to wait. But we don’t want to create false expectations.’
