Liverpool players’ ratings vs Red Belgrade star

The Reds put up some great performances last night scoring four goals against Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade.

Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool the lead after a wonderful assist from Andy Robertson, Mo Salah gave the Reds a second goal following a goal assist from Xherdan Shaqiri, Salah added the third goal before Senegal international, Sadio Mane gave Liverpool the finisher after he misplaced an opportunity to score.

Below is Liverpool players ratings against Red Star Belgrade,

Alisson Becker (6): he didn’t face any challenge at the goal post as Red Star players hardly made it past the defense line.

Trent Alexander Arnold (6.5): he covered his area well but didn’t do much.

Joe Gomez (7.5): he was brilliant last night and was up to every physical challenge.

Virgil Van Dijk (7.5): he didn’t have much to do but the little he did was good.

Andrew Robertson (7.5): he played less as a defender as he was seen moving to the front to join the attack at every given chance.

Gini Wijnaldum (7.5): this midfielder has turned out to be one of Liverpool’s most persistent players. He showed energy at the midfield.

Fabinho (8): he got his first start for Liverpool in the UCL last night, he had a good ball possession and made some great passes.

Xherdan Shaqiri (9): he was the most brilliant player from last night match, he paved the way for the first and second goals, he distributed the ball well.

Roberto Firmino (7.5): he made some runs during the match and scored the first goal.

Sadio Mane (7): he was not really exceptional as he lost some opportunities to score before he finally added the fourth goal for the Reds.

Mo Salah (8): he was great but could have scored more goals as he wasted some opportunities.

Substitute:

Adam Lallana (6.5): he came in for Shaqiri and almost had the opportunity to score.

Daniel Sturridge (7.): he came in for Mo Salah and paved the way for the fourth goal.

Alberto Moreno N/A: he came in for Andy Robertson barely 10 minutes to the end of the match.
