Chelsea are officially premier league champions for this season and even though they achieved the great feat collectively as a team, the fact can’t be ruled out that the duo of N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard played an important role in the squad this season.

Former Leicester City defensive midfielder Kante however beat Hazard to win the prestigious premier league player of the year award, and he is set to lift the title trophy for the second time in his second year in England.

However, former Liverpool man Jamie Carragher thinks the France international is not the most important player at Chelsea and that Eden Hazard has a bigger influence in Conte’s squad than the Frenchman.

Chelsea are confirmed title champions following their 1-0 win over West Brom on Friday night at the Hawthorns. They are keen to complete a domestic double with an FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley later this month.

Eden Hazard has been one of the pivotal players across this season. The Belgian has scored 16 times in 40 appearances. However, his French teammate has been the one winning the awards this campaign.

However, the former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher expressed that even though N’Golo has enjoyed a superb 12 months for both Leicester City and now Chelsea, his Belgian teammate Hazard has an even greater influence over the affairs of the pitch at Chelsea.
