Kepa responds to call for him to unseat David de Gea as Spain No.1 goalie

Yesterday, report went viral when fans called on Spain national team to make Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga their No.1 goalkeeper.

This means pushing Manchester United goal keeper, David de Gea aside.

The call for this may have been as a result of David de Gea multiple errors during the 2018 world cup in Russia.

Kepa had gone with the Spanish squad to the world cup tournament but he didn’t feature for Spain probably owing to the fact that he had not made a name for himself then.

Well,  Kepa moves to Chelsea in the summer transfer window at a transfer fee of £71.6 million, which made him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

Apart from this, Kepa under coach Sarri Maurizio have manned the Blues goal post to some good extent with Chelsea keeping a 100 per cent clean sheet.

All of these made fans to call on Spain national team to make him their No 1goalkeeperr.

Well, Kepa in a responded by saying the selection is in the hands of the coach.

But he went ahead to say, he’s happy to be amongst the Spanish squad and he will put in much effort during training.
