Reports flying round is that Serie A giants AS Roma are currently sniffing around London in England for Chelsea talented defender Kurt Zouma.

Zouma is expected to be the long-term solution at centre-back in the Stamford Bridge club, and so has lost his starting berth at the west London club and hasn’t also been helped by a major injury last season.

This season so far, the 22-year-old defender has played just seven Premier League minutes, and has two more years on his deal that will expire in 2019.

Chelsea Italian manager Antonio Conte is reported by the Daily Express that he is so willing to loan out Zouma. And well, the defender himself could be open to a permanent move if he does not play regularly for the Stamford Bridge club.

Recently, Zouma was quoted as saying that he liked his blues side, but that he however needs to have more playing time at his age.

“We will have to see how the second half of the season goes,”

“We’ll have to talk, because I am young, and it is at my age that you have to play the most.

“For the moment, I am waiting, I am happy the team is winning, even if at a moment in time, I’m going to have to play if I want to achieve my objectives and get back into the France team.

“There will be discussions, but once again, I am not worried about all that. For the moment, it is the team that counts.” Zouma said.

Since moving to the Stamford Bridge from Saint-Etienne in 2014, Zouma has only played 40 Premier League games.
