Manchester United’s only hope of competing in the Champions League next season is if they can beat Ajax in the Europa League final next week.

The Old Trafford club are very much likely to finish this season in the sixth position on the premier league table, and all attentions has been shifted to the Europa League final.

One player who played the major role in the Europa League journey is Swede legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He remains the Manchester United player with the most goals this season.

Unfortunately, injury has kept him off the pitch for some time. The former Barcelona player picked up an ACL injury against Anderlecht in the Europa League quarter finals.

The devastating injury has ruled him out for the remainder of this season…and even his career on the pitch seem to have come to an end. But perhaps we are all wrong.

The former Sweden international took to his Instagram page to provide a major update on his return to fitness.

The huge striker had undergo surgery in the United States, and it ended a complete success. He continued his early rehabilitation in Pittsburgh, but has returned to the United Kingdom earlier this week.

He posted a video of himself doing resistance training in a swimming pool, without the protective strapping he had been wearing around his leg for some time, and added the caption, ‘Ready for the final’.

Of course, it is very unlikely that he would play against Ajax, but might simply be in the stands cheering his teammates.
