Ian Wright States The Difference Between Chelsea and Tottenham.

Ian Wright is of the opinion that Chelsea have greater experience in their squad than did Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright thinks current premier league table leaders Chelsea, have more experience in their ranks than contenders and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

As things stands now, the Stamford Bridge club are sitting 10 points clear of second-placed Tottenham in the title race with just 12 games to go in an exciting 2016-17 campaign.

The west London club were 3-1 winners at home against Swansea City on Saturday evening thanks to goals from the trio of Pedro Rodriguez, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa.

Tottenham on the other hand seized their chance to move clear of top-four rivals Arsenal and Manchester United on Sunday after their 3-0 victory against Stoke City at White Hart Lane.

And Spurs star striker Harry Kane scored his third hat-trick in his last nine games to get all three points for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and keep their slim title hopes alive.

However Ian Wright speaking to BBC Radio Five Live’s 606 podcast about the difference between the Chelsea and Tottenham squads, said:

“Tottenham and Chelsea are not too far apart. Chelsea have better experience. Chelsea have more depth in their squad.”

Last season when Leicester City surprised world footballing by coming up to win the premier league title, Tottenham Hotspur ended up in the third position on the Premier League table after challenging the Foxes for the title throughout much of the 2015-16 campaign. Chelsea on the other hand ended up in tenth spot in the table.
