Have Arsenal gotten a sporting director?

North London outfit Arsenal might have concluded on who becomes the sporting director after claims of a shake-up at the club and promotion to the carder for some of the club chiefs.

The Gunners lost Sven Mislintat after he decided to leave the Emirates Stadium and they have since been in the search for a replacement as the summer window draws near. A number of names have already been linked with the job.

Former AS Roma chief Monchi was earlier linked with the job but he dumped the Arsenal team to join his former Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla which keeps the Gunners still in the search.

Former player Marc Overmars has also been linked with the job but they are fears that he would not be released by Ajax who are bent on his presence at the club.

However, Steve Morrow is being linked as he could be promoted by the club to a sporting director role. He is currently the head of youth scouting but he could now be asked to work with manager Unai Emery in the coming summer window.

Meanwhile, there are hints that the Gunners will only make available £40 million for Unai Emery in the summer window but it could increase if he qualifies the club to the Champions League next season.
