Chelsea legend and former England international Frank Lampard, speaking ahead of his former club’s FA Cup semifinal clash against Tottenham Hotspur is of the opinion that Belgian star Eden Hazard is now among the world’s best.

The former midfielder thinks Hazard is closing the gap on the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who are regarded as the world best players.

Lampard, speaking ahead of the Saturday’s Wembley clash to BBC, described Eden as the best player in the English top flight, and one of the best we currently have in the world.

The Englishman feels the Belgian is now moving into the bracket of top players in the world, getting into the group of the top players in the world.

He also added that the Belgium international is still young enough at 26, and that he is constantly improving.

This season, Hazard has been one of the best players in the English top flight and has been appointed for the prestigious premier league player of the Year award alongside teammate at Chelsea N’Golo Kante.

He is set to help his side get closer to winning the FA Cup this season, when they clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday at Wembley.

And in regards to the game, Lampard is of the opinion that Eden is always looking towards big games that gives him the opportunity to make an impact, and this won’t be an exception.
