Why Jerome Boateng Rejected Manchester United For PSG
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has decided to join Paris Saint Germain instead of Manchester United, according to reports.
The defender was courted by United earlier this summer, as they searched for quality legs at their defence line, but the German turned down the chance to join Old Trafford, with reports that he even called Mourinho to explain his reason.
Reports in French outlet Le Parisien have now claimed that Boateng has now opted to join Paris Saint Germain instead for ‘footballing reasons’.
It is understood that Bayern Munich will cash in on the defender for £50 million, but PSG are hoping to conclude the deal for £10 million
The likes of Juventus and Manchester City were also tipped to make moves for Boateng but never made concrete efforts to sign him
Manchester United still remains optimistic about bringing in a defender before the transfer window shuts in England, unfortunately Tottenham Hotspur didn’t lower their transfer demands, despite reports that the player is keen on moving to Old Trafford and has even told his close pals about his intention to make the move this summer.
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has emerged as United’s target to complete the missing jigsaw at the back for Jose Mourinho, but Everton signed the frontrunners in a loan deal.
