According to reports in Italy, Chelsea outcast Diego Costa has been offered to AC Milan. The 28-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has told the Spaniard via text he no longer features in his plans at the West London club.

The Striker has been heavily linked with a return to Spanish side Atletico Madrid, where he played before joining the Blues back in 2014.

But Athletico Madrid are banned from signing any player until January due to a FIFA-imposed transfer embargo.

And Costa’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is seemingly seeking other options for his client.

Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports says his colleagues in Italy revealed that Jorge Mendes met with AC Milan Chief’s yesterday.

The Spain international striker was reportedly a topic of discussion along with Renato Sanches and Radamel Falcao, who the ‘Super Agent’ also represents.

Solhekol tweeted “Sky Italy: Meeting today between agent Jorge Mendes & AC Milan directors to discuss transfers of Diego Costa, Renato Sanches, Radamel Falcao.”

The former Athletico Madrid forward played 42 matches in all competitions for the Blues last season, netting 22 goals and providing eight assists in the process.

He has 24 months left to run on his current contract with the Premier League champions.
