Nemanja Matic

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a stunning move.

The Serbian midfielder has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford with reports that Jose Mourinho wants a reunion with one of his trusted players during his time at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are believed to be closing in on an audacious move for AS Monaco midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko as Antonio Conte begins his plans to bolster the Blues squad ahead of the season.

Prior reports have it that Matic believes he might become a surplus requirement under Conte next season despite striking a solid partnership with N’Golo Kante last season that saw the Blues win the Premier League with a rather strange 3-4-3 formation.

Reports in the Sun claim that Jose Mourinho has met with Matic and convinced him about joining United this summer, with hopes of sealing a move for him from League rivals, Chelsea.

It is understood that Chelsea value Matic for a fee around 40million pounds and will not sell him for less, with reports that United are ready to pay the stipulated fee.

Matic has been a key figure for the Blues, since he returned there three seasons ago, churning out solid impressive displays in his 146 appearances for the club.
