Why Coutinho should stay at Liverpool and ignore Barcelona

The Klopp renaissance has swept Barcelona and crucial to that resurrection is a certain Brazilian playmaker by the name of Coutinho. So far, he has had an outstanding season and has a wonderful return on both goals scored and chances created. His performance hasn’t gone unnoticed as there has been various flirtations and several attempts by both officials and journos linking the midfield maestro to the Catalan club.

Before giving reasons why he shouldn’t join the club there are several reasons why he would want to, given that he is a Brazilian and a South American the allure of playing in a traditional club like Barcelona would appeal to his persona for an array of reasons. The climate is a lot more favorable, he has had previous experience of the city having spent a season on loan at Espanyol FC, he would link up with two of his close friends Luis Suarez his former teammate and Brazillian captain Neymar Santos.

But regardless of these tempting allure there are various reasons why he should not even make the move to Catalonia. Under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, Coutinho is playing the best football of his career, Klopp has seemed to be able to unlock his super saiyan right in the formation of a front three where he plays in from the right and occasionally drift into the number 10 role. Coutinho who has been touted as the future Iniesta seems to rather be occupying a role being played by Argentine football great Lionel Messi.

Messi still looks like he has a couple of seasons to play at Barcelona and it wouldn’t be beneficial to his career to rather remain in Merseyside where he is central to plans in a very resurgent Liverpool side. At the moment he has settled well in the city with his wife and daughter and is enjoying the highest on field freedom at Anfield.
