Salvatore Sirigu

Chelsea are reportedly plotting an audacious move for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu as a possible replacement for Asmir Begovic.

The Blues are preparing to lose Begovic to Borunemouth who have offered an improved £12million deal after seeing their initial offer rejected.

It is understood that Antonio Conte has a shortlisted some notable keepers in Europe to replace the former Stoke goalie and Craig Gordon was said to the leading candidate to get the move to the Stamford Bridge and has held talks with the Blues although a £3m offer was rejected by Celtic as per reports in the Sun.

But Salvatore Sirigu who is currently on loan to Sevilla has also emerged as an option to the 34-year-old and could be interested in a move due to his lack of action at the La Liga since his suspension against Athletic Bilbao last September.

Chelsea are also poised to lose Thibaut Courtois next summer and are looking to sign experienced goalkeepers as alternative with reports suggesting that the Belgian star could be allowed to leave as a makeweight in their bid to sign Alvaro Morata next summer transfer window who also come in as a possible replacement for Diego Costa.
