Marseille striker Mario Balotelli is keen to stay at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.

The Italian international has been at Marseille since he joined during the winter transfer window.

Mario Balotelli took to his official Instagram page to thank the Marseille fans and officials as he revealed that he won’t hesitate to extend his stay at Stade Velodrome beyond this summer.

The 28-year-old was at OGC Nice until January 2019 when his contract was canceled after falling out with club manager and Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

The former Liverpool striker joined Marseille as a free agent during the winter transfer window and went on to score eight goals in 12 games for the French giants.

Mario Balotelli is willing to stay with Marseille despite the fact that they missed out on Champions League football at the end of the just concluded league season.

Marseille would feature in the Europa League instead of Europe’s premier club competition after a fifth-placed finish at the end of the 2018/19 French Ligue 1 season.

The French club missed out on the top three places required to secure Champions League football for next season.

French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG), runners-up Lille and Lyon will represent France in the Champions League next season.
