Tiemoue Bakayoko

According to new reports, English premier league champions Chelsea are now ready to start talks with French Ligue I champions Monaco for one of their star players in the person of Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Bakayoko burst onto the scene this campaign following his impressive performances both in the Ligue I and in the Champions League.

He helped his side win the French trophy this season, and played a pivotal role helping Monaco get to the semi finals in the Champions League.

And as expected, his superb form hasn’t gone unnoticed as he has heaped lots of attention to himself, with various top clubs across Europe now monitoring him.

He has been linked with English champions Chelsea for some time, and right now, The Telegraph insists that the Stamford Bridge club are set to start the process for his signature next week by opening negotiations with his French club.

It was added that Chelsea have a £200m transfer cash to spend this summer on new legs, and the sale of Brazilian star Oscar to the Chinese Super League last January was part of the fund.

Tiemoue made 31 appearances in the Ligue I this season at Monaco and also represented them appropriately in their Champions League campaign which was brought to an end by Juventus.
