Antonio Conte Gives Verdict On Asmir Begovic

Chelsea have rejected £10million bid from Bournemouth for second choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Bosnia international has been constantly remained on the bench for the Blues due to the impressive form of Thibaut Courtois and could move in the January transfer window although Antonio Conte rates him highly.

Begovic has shown to be of the best keepers in the Premier league and it is understood that Conte wants to keep him at the Stamford Bridge but there are suggestions that Chelsea could be open to letting him leave for the right price.

Reports in the Daily Telegraph have it that Bournemouth have made an initial bid of around £10million for Begovic but have been asked to up their deal to land the former Stoke keeper.

The Cherries lost Nathan Ake earlier this month after being recalled to the Blues due to his impressive displays under Eddie Howe this season.

There were speculations that Bournemouth are also ready to offer John Terry playing time at the Vitality stadium with a concrete offer believed to be on ground for the veteran.

Begovic will be a significant upgrade to the Cherries current keeper Artur Boruc but Conte is belived to rate him highly and might want him to stay till summer.
