Chelsea are planning shock move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the next summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Chilean star has continued to stall on renewing a contract at the Emirates, with reports he wants a bumper pay rise to extend his stay in North London and has acted strangely in recent matches for the Gunners which has sparked speculations over his future.

The Blues are said to be monitoring his situation as they hope to sign a replacement for Diego Costa who has returned to training following his spat with Antonio Conte over his fitness issues. The Spain international was left out of Chelsea’s squad that beat Leicester City last Saturday as a result of a disagreement with the medical team and Conte over a back injury.

There have been confirmed reports of interest from Chinese Super League Club, Tianjin Quanjian, with reports Costa might make the move in the summer.

Alexis Sanchez has been a key figure in Arsene Wenger’s side this season, while playing as central striking role but might leave the Emirates if his current deal which expires at the 2017/18 season is not renewed.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will hope to get ideal replacement for Diego Costa who has been pivotal to their title challenge this season.
