Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian have reportedly offered Chelsea £80million to sign striker Diego Costa.

The Spain international has been in an impressive goal scoring form at the Stamford Bridge, scoring 14 goals in 18 Premier League games so far.

Following the capture of Oscar from Chelsea, Costa is the next major target as reports claim that the Chinese club is ready to up their initial bid to lure the 27-year-old out of Chelsea.

The Blues are currently on a fine form in the League, with six points clear from their rivals at the top of the table

Reports in the Sun claim that Tiajin had earlier made a bid of £50million for the striker which got rejected by Chelsea last month and they have not renewed their interest and improved the offer.

Costa might earn around £480,000-a-week if he decides to move to China, but there are no indications that Chelsea will be willing to sell him.

The former Atletico Madrid forward was believed to be keen on a return to his former club last summer but was talked into staying by Antonio Conte.

Asked about his summer turmoil, Costa said: “Yes, yes. I was about to leave

“I had the possibility to go to Atletico because of a few things — the family, the life I have there — but not because of Chelsea.

“Here, there’s a lot of love with the supporters, with the people, so I’m  very happy here, I’m very content.”
