Bertrand Traore

According to news coming from an Italian news outlet Calciomercato, English premier League side Everton are interested in signing Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore in the fast approaching summer window transfer.

21-year-old Bertrand Traore is currently on loan at Ajax in the Netherlands. He has been quite impressive for the Dutch giants and has, in 29 appearances this season so far, scored eight times.

This season at Everton, Romelu Lukaku has been so outstanding and he is one of the favourites to win the league’s best player award. However, the Belgian star reportedly rejected a new contract by the Everton chiefs to remain at Goodison Park, and It is believed that the club are looking to replace the striker.

Bertrand, back then in 2010, joined the Chelsea academy from French side Auxerre and progressed to play for the senior team 10times before he was eventually loaned out to Vitesse and then Ajax.

It is obvious that with the seemingly imminent departure of Romelu Lukaku from Everton, they will be looking to bring in young and talented strikers for a chance to pursue European football next season.

However, it appears Everton won’t get him that easily as they are not the only club interested in the attacker. It was added that Serie A side Napoli have also expressed similar intentions to get the player’s signature. Napoli are a big club, and Everton needs to work smarter if they are to eventually get him.

Bertrand Traore has represented his African country -Burkina Faso, since the young age of 15. He is considered to be a top goal-scoring talent in the world of football.
