Confirm! Chelsea In Advanced Talks With Player’s Agent Over January Swoop

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Craig Gordon’s agent over a potential January move for the keeper, according to reports.

Reports in the Daily Mail have it that Celtic are considering a new deal with is rumoured to be a figure around £3.5 million, having rejected an opening bid of  £2.5m last week.

The Scottish giants are not ready to part ways with their number one but Chelsea are adamant on thrashing out a deal before the end of the window.

The 34-year-old keeper is also said to be ready to hold negotiations with Chelsea over a possible deal despite having about 18 months left in his current deal with Celtic.

According to the Daily Express, Gordon’s agent is set to hold talks with Celtic chiefs ahead of a deadline day move.

Chelsea are moving quickly to replace Asmir Begovic who is keen on leaving the club in favour of move to Bournemouth before the end of the transfer window.

Reports in the Daily Mail also have it that Branislav Ivanovic is close to joining Zenit St Petersburg on a three-and-a-half year contract.

It is understood that Antonio Conte will not stand in the way of potential move for the 32-year-old after his latest admission that he will not feature in his plans at the Stamford Bridge.
