A sports record kit deal with sports wear giants, Nike has been sealed by Chelsea. According to reports, the deal cost the football club £60 million ($73 million, 66 million euros) per season.

The Premier League Club have been in negotiations with the sports gear giant since early this year after rumors surfaced that Chelsea would be dropping another Sports gear giant, Adidas. The contract with Adidas will come to an end in 2017.

Adidas reportedly collected  £30 million annually for the period of their agreement and contract but Nike’s is much higher because the company will be making the full kit for Chelsea’s first-team, academy sides and ladies’ squad for the next 15 years.

Chelsea will earn an estimated £900 million from shirt sales and other sports gear by the time the deal, which starts from next season, expires in 2032.

Recall that Nike is also in partnership with Barcelona where they receive a reported sum of £120 million-a-year from their agreement with Nike.

“This is an incredibly exciting and important deal for the club. Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what is sure to be a successful partnership,” Granovskaia told Chelsea’s official website.
