Top Premier League clubs are reportedly on their toes as reports claim Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez could be released for just £3m this month.

The Colombian international, who had an eventful outing during last year’s World Cup in Russia, is unwanted at Allianz Arena and Niko Kovac is hoping to let him go for as low as £3m.

The player completed a two-year loan move to the Bavarians 18 months ago but has failed to live up to expectations and the Bundesliga side are unwilling to pay the remaining transfer fee (£3m) to Madrid.

Manchester United were said to be interested in the 27-year-old midfielder/striker during the previous season but Mourinho couldn’t capture his signature.

The Red Devils are now hoping to meet Rodriguez’s £3m price tag ahead of other competitors, even when it appears Solskjaer didn’t need an attacking player.

Chelsea are also linked with the Colombian star and Sarri will be glad to have the classy and versatile player in his team for the rest of the season.

The Blues are in need of a sharp striker and James Rodriguez could be the best solution the team’s goalscoring predicament.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is also in the race for the player, the Mirror report that Emery is ready to make an official bid for the former Juventus man.

Whoever signs James later in the month, the Colombian will only spend the rest of the season in England except they negotiate a permanent deal with Madrid before the start of 2019-20 season campaign.
