Arsenal Youngster Invited In Emergency Call, Already On His Way To Africa!

According to latest news, Arsenal youngster Ismael Bennacer has been called up to the Algerian national team.

Daily Mirror just made the revelations that the teenager would be travelling to Gabon to represent his country at this month’s African Cup of Nations.

The 19-year old made his debut for Algeria in September last year after he switched international allegiance from France to his African country of birth.

Ismael Bennacer has made only one senior appearance for the Gunners, and this was in last season’ loss to Sheffield. He however is a regular for Arsenal’s U23 side.

Algeria are already regarded as one of the AFCON favourites as they got one of the strongest squads in the competition. They will be playing Zimbabwe on Sunday as their tournament opener with the duo of Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani giving their squad a seriously potent attacking force.

The recent invitation of the youngster Bennacer will only add more strength to the team and make them a more dangerous team in the Group B.

The north African side have once won the tournament in 1990 and would love replicating that feat this year. The Desert Foxes have also placed third twice and exited at the semi finals stage on two different occasions.
