Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been brilliant of late for the Gunners team and he has attributed his resurgence to the partnership with new recruit Lucas Torriera in the midfield.

The Uruguay international signed for the Gunners after his good outing at the Russia 2018 World Cup and has since settled to make a whole lot of impact on the team.

He was initially left on the bench for a number of games by manager Unai Emery as he was favoured behind Matteo Guendouzi who also joined the club in the summer.

Torriera always made a mark on the pitch each time he was given the nod which now makes him a regular at the Emirate Club, creating the stability in the midfield and also providing a cover for the defence.

Xhaka stated that Torriera has helped improve his game and playing alongside the Uruguayan makes the Arsenal team much stronger.

The Switzerland man said he is happy playing with his new partner as he can now find a level of balance on the pitch as well as helping the transition from the middle to the attack.

Pundits have stated that the Uruguay man has been the missing substance in the Arsenal team, adding that there is hope that a lasting solution has been found to the Arsenal midfield with his presence.
