Barcelona Star Midfielder In Talks With Chelsea Over Shock Summer Move

According to FotoMac, FC Barcelona star player Arda Turan has reportedly hold early talks with Chelsea over a possible summer move to the Stamford Bridge club.

The Turkish star recently posed with Chelsea’s Diego Costa on the Spanish striker’s Instagram page after the two former Atletico Madrid team-mates spent some time to be together.

That picture posted on social media made some papers to suggest that Barcelona might be targeting Costa ahead of this summer’s transfer window. However according to the Turkish media outlet FotoMac, current English Premier League table leaders Chelsea FC are the ones who are interested to sign Arda Turan.

Turan, following his £24m move to the Nou Camp club from Atleti, hasn’t enjoy the greatest of time. The 30-year-old versatile midfielder has only made 34 league appearances since his move in 2015.

It is rumoured that he is looking for a new adventure and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea could give him that exactly.

The Stamford Bridge club sold attacking midfielder Oscar to China last January and are yet to replace him with anyone. It is believed that Turan could be a potential replacement for the Samba star.

Ian Wright says the blues are on course to win the Premier League title this term. He is fully expecting to see Chelsea win the Premier League crown this season because of their attitude.

The West London club have been regarded as the heavy favourites to lift the top-flight title come May after their brilliant start to the campaign under new Italian boss Antonio Conte.

The Stamford Bridge club have successfully built an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table as they attempt to win the trophy they last won in the 2014-15 season when current United boss Jose Mourinho was still boss there.

Chelsea are widely expected to go on and win the crown this season as they bounced back in style from their disastrous campaign last campaign.

And former Arsenal man Ian Wright has talked about why he expects to see the west London side lift the trophy at the end of this season.

Wright speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live attested that Chelsea are in Premier League champion mode.

“You’ve got David Luiz blasting the ball out of play and everybody getting back to their positions and getting ready for the next onslaught.

“They just look like a team that know exactly where they’re going right now.

“Their goalkeeper made another good save, they could have lost the game but they’ve stepped up.

“They are playing exactly how they should play to try to win the league when you’re that far in front.”

They play Wolves in the fifth round of the FA Cup this weekend.
