Arsene Wenger has admitted his interest in Kylian Mbappe but is put off by his £100m feeArsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he is interested in AS Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

The French forward has been tipped as one of the hottest prospects in Europe due to his brilliant displays, scoring 21 goals in 25 appearances so far this season.

Mbappe has been regarded as the next ‘Thierry Henry’ with his technical skills which has drawn interest from several clubs in Europe.

He  told SFR Sport: “Of course [we’re targeting Mbappe].

“It would be hypocritical and a lie to say we’re not following him.

“But he’s perhaps already in the category of clubs who perhaps have more financial potential than us.”

Known for his love for developing youngster into World players, Arsene Wenger will be thrilled to bring Kylian Mbappe to Emirates next season but might be put off by his astronomical £100million transfer tag.

Arsenal will also have to beat competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea who all have also been credited with an interest for the French youngster.

It is understood that Real Madrid are plotting a £85million mega-summer bid for Mbappe while Chelsea and City still remain keen on rivaling the Spanish giants next summer transfer window.
