Ballon d’or nominee and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed how he is being wooed by Arsenal vice-captain and France national team colleague Laurent Koscielny.

Griezmann, who finished in third place behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d’or 2016 award, made this known in a chat with France Football magazine after he was named the 2016 French Player of the Year.

While fielding questions from colleagues Koscielny cheekily asked: “If you want to discover a new league, why not do it at Arsenal with us?”

In his response, Griezmann stated that: “For Arsenal, he speaks to me about them often. But I feel good at Madrid. I do not want to leave.

I feel calm here. The little one (baby girl) has just arrived, I am playing matches, I feel good. Sorry, I am going to stay. But Arsenal is a wonderful team. They play great with the ball.”

The 25-year old star has rose to become one of the best players in world football since he moved to Atletico Madrid from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014 and has already scored 66 goals in 128 appearances for his side in addition to helping the French Les Blues to the final of the 2016 European Championship at home before they lost to eventual winner Portugal.
