Big Blow – Arsenal Star Player Ruled Out Until Next Year

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has been reportedly ruled out till the new year with the calf injury that forced him to miss the last league game against midlands club West Brom on Boxing Day.

According to popular English news outlet The Guardian, Theo Walcott has not recovered from the injury meaning he could likely miss the home game against Crystal Palace in what would be a London Derby at the Emirates Stadium on New Year’s Day as well as the an away trip to South Coast club Bournemouth two days later.

The latest development would be a big blow for Arsenal and their 67-year old French manager Arsene Wenger due to the fact that the English international is a lethal weapon for the team this season having scored 11 goals in all competitions including in his last league game against Manchester City, which the Gunners eventually lost 2-1 to Pep Guardiola’s team.

With Walcott almost ruled out of those games it represents a fantastic opportunity for summer signing and Spanish forward Lucas Perez, who has found English Premier League (EPL) minutes hard to come by this season despite scoring 5 goals already including a hat-trick against Swiss champions FC Basel earlier this month in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
