Arsenal ready to end ‘the mess’ with bid for 26-year-old left-back

Arsenal have been hunted in their last two games over the absence of options at the left-back and that was able to cost them their winning run which eventually ended at 11 by Crystal Palace.

With the Injury of Nacho Monreal, Unai Emery has been forced to play Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka at the left-back where he committed the blunder that led to the 2-2 draw in the Premier League game at the weekend.

Spanish manager Emery is reportedly ready to add more options at the position and has submitted a £8 million bid for Ajax left full-back Nicolas Tagliafico ahead of the January window.

The defender who was part of the Argentina squad that played at the World Cup in Russia is believed to be a good fit to the style of the former PSG boss.

Arsenal will face a battle from Newcastle who are reported to be monitoring the situation with the player but they are expected to have the upper hand in the bid with the hope of a Champions League football next year.

There are indications that Arsenal will have to pay more for the service of the Argentine because of the many suitors he is interesting at the moment.
