Arsenal Ready To Swoop For Top Ligue 1 Star As Agent Flies Into London

Arsenal have began negotiations to lure Jean Michael Seri to the Emirates this summer, according to reports.

The 25-year-old has been an impressive figure in the Ligue 1 with Nice, churning out wonderful displays as they march to the top tier of the Ligue 1 table alongside Mario Balotelli.

Reports in the Guardian claims that the midfielder’s agent has jetted into London last week to thrash details of a potential deal with Arsenal and their local rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.

It is understood that Nice are values Seri for £20million fee as the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have also been linked with the Ivorien star. The French side are to cash in on the player at a lower price despite his £33million release clause with two years to run.

‘There are a lot of clubs that follow me. But there is nothing done,’ Seri revealed last week.

‘If I leave, it will be to join a club where there is a real desire to play football as in Nice.

‘And I’m not going to be on the bench, I’m leaving only if I know I’m going to play.’

Arsenal are believed to be preparing for an exodus of major players in their squad as they are set to miss out of the Champions League for the first time in as many years.
