Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has claimed Aaron Ramsey could help the Gunners attain a top-four spot in the current campaign.

The Welsh midfielder has been inconsistent with the Gunners this season due to incessant injuries, and have also been criticised for his lack-lustre performances in recent games. However, Ray Parlour believes Ramsey still got what it takes to help the Gunners to a comfortable league position this season.

“He’s been in and out the side,” he said on talkSPORT.

“He’s had a few injuries, whether that’s to do with the Euros.

“He was different class last season, not as much this. Let’s wait and see.
“He’s fit again now, he can play a big part in them getting in the top four.”

Ramsey was an integral part of the Wales team that got to the semifinal of Euro 2016 tournament in France but has not been able to repeat such form with the Gunners and has been heavily criticized for his performances. He is currently recovering from his calf strain and could be part of the squad that will face Liverpool next Saturday.

Ramsey who joined Arsenal as a budding talent from Cardiff city in 2008, was regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and even rejected a chance to play for Manchester United in favour of an Emirates move.
