The North London outfit have been linked with the former AS Roma chief after the departure of Sven Mislintat with suggestions that he would be joining the Emirates Stadium.
But Arsenal fans can now know that it might no longer happen as Sevilla is reported to be speaking with the former AS Roma chief, with claims that the talks have been positive so far.
Sevilla President, Jose Castro said they have already reached an agreement with Monchi, hinting that Monchi is the best for the position.
He revealed that the former AS Roma chief has been contacted and he has been very receptive to their calls.
However, there is a need for the North London outfit to find other options as it is already obvious that Monchi cannot the man ahead of the new season.
It was earlier expected that the North London outfit will get busy this coming summer transfer window and will have to secure a technical director who will have the power to supervise the transfer dealings.
