Isco Chelsea on red alert

English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal are interested in signing Spanish playmaker Isco from the reigning European champions Real Madrid in the next transfer window, which opens on the 1st of January, 2017, according to popular news outlet Sunday People.

According to the report, the 24-year old former Malaga star is open to the idea of moving away from Real Madrid after seeing his playing opportunities reduced at the Santiago Bernebeu and would be in favour of a transfer to a Champions League side which is something North London side Arsenal can definitely offer him.

Isco has only played 66 minutes of UEFA Champions League (UCL) football this season and Arsenal are willing to pay a sum of £17m for him in the summer of 2017 after a short-term loan in January to help him improve that bad statistics though his club is reportedly holding out for £25m.

In some quarters, he is seen as the perfect heir to Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, who is gradually winding down his career at 31 and has been injury prone for the past few seasons.

To further highlight this the former Villareal and Malaga star has been ruled out for till next year after he underwent surgery on a troublesome Achilles problem earlier this month.
